Our client - Pernod Ricard is the world’s leader in the Premium spirits industry. It operates in more than 85 affiliates and 100 production sites all over the world. Pernod Ricard Lithuania is a part of Pernod Ricard Northern Europe. The company focuses on 15 key wine and spirits brands such as ABSOLUT, Jameson, Havana Club and Jacob’s Creek.
General accounting, including but not limited to:
- Ensuring that accounting records are developed and maintained up to standards required locally and by the PR Group to enable provision of information necessary for sound financial management and tax reporting as well as budgetary control.
- Generating and processing routine journal entries.
- Perform certain aspects of the month-end close procedures of ledgers and meet prescribed deadlines
- Maintaining and balancing company’s accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies.
- Completion of monthly Pernod Ricard reporting packages
- Creating and maintaining master data in the ERP system including but not limited to new GL accounts, projects, cost centers, dimensions to general ledger accounts, product posting groups etc.
- Assisting other team members with data preparation for external and internal audits, also tax inquiries.
Bank, including but not limited to:
- Preparation of payments to sign in bank electronic systems (manual and upload through Cash manager tool (or OPUS CAPITA tool in Finland) from NAV).
- Approving bank payments as a first signature.
- Daily bank statement extraction from bank systems.
Tax compliance and reporting, including but not limited to:
- Ensuring that accounting processes are designed to have adequate settings, dimensions, and properties, updated and maintained to enable generation and provision of information necessary for sound tax reporting.
- Ensuring tax compliance and timely and accurate reporting of all financial and tax information to relevant authorities
- Ensuring Statistical reporting is timely and accurate to relevant authorities
- Data preparation for filing reports and sending it to the outsource partners
- Review and approval of reports for filing as prepared by outsourced partner before they are presented to tax authorities.
- Around 3-5 years of experience as Chief Accountant or similar role
- Knowledge of ERP, preferably Navision and/or Business Central
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
- Proficiency in communication in English, both written and spoken
- Great communication and leadership skills
- Proactiveness, flexibility and willingness to learn
