Now we are looking for a Data Team Lead to join the team in Kaunas, Lithuania. Vilnius candidates can also apply, as work is hybrid.
ABOUT THE TEAM:
Data Team Lead will play a pivotal role in shaping our data landscape. The role will be responsible for establishing an innovative data quality and analytics framework that ensures unparalleled visibility and transparency for the data we receive and our business performance. The mission is to set up a team of data engineers and data analysts to enable other departments to deliver the best airline data on the market.
They should be a data loving person that could establish a team of talented data professionals, ensuring the successful delivery of data projects, and driving the strategic direction of OAG data initiatives.
- Developing and executing the yearly roadmap for the team to deliver strategic supply domain goals.
- Working with customers to understand their supply Data Quality needs and help to integrate DQ data into customer systems.
- Improving Data quality KPIs – monitoring, reporting, and remediation process.
- Defining and document definitions and KPIs related to supply Data Quality to have consistent terminologies across the organization.
- Partnering with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and priorities.
- Developing new data-driven approaches to generate insights, improve decision-making, and address business challenges proactively.
- Leading a team of data engineers, analysts, and data quality specialists, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
- Managing daily team roadmap, priorities, workload, and results.
- Evaluating emerging technologies and making recommendations for investments in technology infrastructure and platforms to support the company's data quality & analytics strategy.
- Ensuring the best coding practices are being applied and well-structured documentation is produced.
- Applying Agile methodology to ensure efficient delivery of the project scope.
- Proven experience (4+ years) in data analytics, data engineering, or a related role.
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, Snowflake)
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python
- Successful integration of cost-effective data pipelines with multiple data sources, data destinations.
- Implementation of Data Warehouse / Data Lake solutions.
- Experience in Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment, or a wish to become a team lead.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
